HEART-TSC
Helping End Adversity through Rhabdomyoma Tumors in TSC
The most common Fetal heart tumor is a cardiac rhabdomyoma
a Cardiac rhabdomyoma is often the first sign of tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC)
one of the only TSC features that resolves on its own without treatment is a cardiac rhabdomyoma
We believe studying rhabdomyoma changes will lead to better TSC care.
Heart-tsc
HEART-TSC is a research study protocol launched in 2023. We follow prenatal and postnatal echocardiograms at defined intervals. Blood work is also obtained to help us understand what factors influence rhabdomyoma growth and regression. By understanding these processes, we will better understand how to treat all TSC disease. Currently, the study is conducted in Cincinnati, OH. If you are pregnant with a baby at risk for TSC or your child has rhabdomyomas, please feel free to reach out and see if you qualify.
